This 1-hour tour is designed to explore the rooms of the Jas de Bouffan estate in a calm and peaceful manner. With a small group of 10 people, this visit is not immediately followed by another group, ensuring tranquility within the monument and allowing for specific time adjustments. The commentary is simplified while providing the essential information to understand the history of Paul Cezanne and the beginnings of his work.
Residence of the Cezanne’s family from 1859 to 1899, this home sheltered the early works of Paul Cezanne and the imprint of his permanent artistic exploration. The tour will highlight living spaces, including the grand salon, which will be revealed and enhanced through a projection system. It stands as a witness and a relic of Paul Cezanne's early pictorial production and the birth of Modern Art. On the second floor, accessible by elevator, the visit will show the first studio of the Aix master, located in the attic.
