PASTIS TOUR : Botanical walk + pastis workshop

First, we start with a botanical walk on the Montaiguet hill with a panoramic view of several mountain ranges: the Sainte-Victoire pictural mountain, Cezanne's favorite, Marseille easten “chaîne de l'étoile” & Sainte-Baume. We can also spot from far away the Roquefavour aqueduct, tallest stone aqueduct since the 19th century, and walking back Aix-en-Provence town from above.

We will discover and learn about the main plants used in the distillation of pastis: calament mint, thyme, rosemary, bay leaf, among other plants.

Then we will visit the GARAGAÏ pastis distillery. Its producer Maixent will explain the distillation and production process of his home-made pastis, followed by a workshop to make a sample of pastis.

We will end with a tasting of different pastis and plant syrups produced on site, local goat cheese and a surprise product.
