Walking guided tour french / english- THE BIBEMUS QUARRIES AND CEZANNE

ENGLISH & french GUIDED VISIT.
From 1896 on, Cezanne will paint outdoors, amid the pine trees and ochre rocks of the Bibemus quarries. The trail, showing reproductions of sandstone engravings, will allow a direct checking of the artist favourite theme, Sainte Victoire with the outstanding protected site.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION :
- Walking tour, starting 6 pm ( and 5 pm in october)
- Reservation required at the tourist office or on line
- Language : french / english
- Duration : around 2h
- Meeting at Bibemus parking (3080 chemin de Bibemus), near the entrance gate, 15mn before.
- Important : Please notice the Bibemus parking is small, come in advance to be sure to find a place.
Pets are forbidden. Walking shoes advised.
CAUTION : This visit can be cancelled in case of closure for forest fire prevention and when shuttle service is not operating : From June to September, the Bibemus quarries site is subject to restrictive regulations.
Access to the daily schedule visiting the website there, (view Sainte-Victoire et Concors) from 6pm only.
