Painting in the Bibemus quarries
Presentation
The Bibemus quarries is a remarkable site that Nature claimed back. The stone’s color from these old quarries gives its warmth to the town of Aix-en-Provence. The harmony among trees, rocks, colors and light is an invitation to contemplation and creation. On your walk, you will discover motifs which has inspired Cezanne and you will have the chance to paint and draw in this unique setting.
Thanks to an instruction adapted to all levels and publics, Pauline, a professional artist, offers courses in drawing and watercolor. After many years of experience, she will provide you with simple and intuitive tools to sharpen your vision and express what you see on paper. You can sign up for this course as many times as you want, practicing art in presence of nature offers endless learning opportunities. Basic material will be handed to you. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, we will be walking about 2 to 3 km.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION :
- Visit in English & French
- Basic material will be handed to you (paper, gouache paint, pencils...)
- Walking shoes advised - the activity includes a walk of 2-3km on path, with a slight gradient
- 8 participants maximum
- For over 5 yo
- Duration : 3hrs
- For persons with specific needs, please contact the tourist office before, for us to confirm you the possibility to adapt the activity to your needs.
- You are free to bring any material needed for your comfort.
- The visit may be canceled or postponed due to extreme weather conditions (rain, strong wind, etc.).
Pets are forbidden.
ACCESS TO THE SITE :
- Meeting 5 min before the activity, on Bibemus parking, (3080 chemin de Bibemus) in front of the main gate (GPS coord: 43.53115, 5.50058 ).
- There is no regular public transport going to the site of Bibemus quarries - Own car / taxi recommended.

- IMPORTANT : As the on-demand bus option is not guaranteed, we recommend you to book the transport BEFORE purchasing the tickets for the activity - once purchased the activity is non modificable, non cancellable, non refundable.
- In case of lateness, the guide may refuse you the access to the visit : no refunds would be possible.

CAUTION : This visit can be cancelled in case of closure for forest fire prevention and when shuttle service is not operating : From June to September, the Bibemus quarries site is subject to restrictive regulations.
Access to the daily schedule visiting the website there, (view Sainte-Victoire et Concors) from 6pm only.
