Cezanne walk - from the pine forest to the Bibemus quarries

Starting our walk at the naturel reserva of Le Tholonet, we'll take a stroll across the pine forest to the Bibémus quarry plateau, where you'll find striking contrasts: ochre-red earth, green pinewood and deep-blue sky. Rediscover pictorial Provence.
Feel its "geological power and rocky energy", as Cezanne so aptly put it. Once on the plateau, come and see the bastidon at the heart of the Carrières de Bibémus, as well as some copies of works scattered around the countryside.
We'll explain to you the history and geology of the site to get the mediterrean biosphere et learn how the famous limestone Mount Sainte-Victoire uprised
