One day at Barben’s Zoo !
Presentation
Surrounded by Garrigue and umbrella pines, the Barben animal park is located halfway between Marseille and Avignon and offers you an immersion in the animal world under the wonderful sky of Provence.
Along the trails winding through an estate of 33 hectares, walk the shaded paths, in the heart of a NATURA 2000 classified site, and discover the 130 animal species.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
- Free parking - parking for disabled persons next to the information point
- Open everyday, bank holidays included
- Open everyday from 10 am to 5:30 pm from november to february. From march to june and september / october open from 10 am to 6:00 pm. During july & august open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Some animals returned from 4:45 pm
INCLUDED
- All the meetings with the animal carers & special events / animations, depending on the period of the year.
NON INCLUDED
- Minitram tour : 1 € per person & per trip, to pay on site.
- Scooter rental for disabled persons : 6 €, to pay on site (disability card or equivalent document required).
RATES 2026
The Tourist Office of Aix-en-Provence proposes preferencial rates to visit parc animalier La Barben :- Adult (13 yo & over) : 20 € (instead of 22 € on site)
- Student (superior studies) : 16 € (instead of 17 € on site)
- Children (3 -12 yo) : 12 € (instead of 15 € on site)
- Disability card owner : 12 €
- Free for disabled children (until 12 years old)
- Free for children under 3 years old
From june to september, the animal park, located in ZAPEF area, can be closed by prefectoral decision if the risk of fire is important. You can check one day before at 6pm or later, on the website bpatp.paca-ate.fr (the animal park is the symbol in circle, at the east of village of La Barben). Red means access forbidden.
